They are hoping to sell the credit card list for upwards of $100,000.

I think Sony just should have bought them. It's a better financial move in the long run.

Wow, if this is true, Sony's really fucked.

I doubt this is true. The real hackers would be doing this through the really sketchy websites that don't show up on any searches, not broadcasting to the world.

but but but Sony said, in their latest press release, that credit card data was encrypted and we had nothing to worry about!

How much? These guys are crazy. Everyone knows about leakage! And with these kind of things, getting data is incomparably easier that getting money out!

As soon as I heard about the info, I changed all my email passwords and got new cards reissued from the bank. It's an inconvenience, but I recommend any PS3 users do the same ASAP.

Wow. I'm glad I chose to buy a DSi and pokemon with my money. Well....actually, I don't even have credit cards and I have all my login and email info different for a bunch of sites. So...this wouldn't have even affected me.

Well, my heart goes out to all those who are affected by this. This really sucks.

Scumbags. Giving legit hackers a bad name, bad rep. And Sony ... I hope they are ready to weather a lot of legal bologna. They must be hiring lawyers in truckloads.

What a bloody disaster.

It seems like the only reputation being damaged here is Sony's.
